The Fundamentals of Lighting Instructor’s Manual (FOL-IM-23), published by the Illuminating Engineering Society, is a set of ten modules in PDF and PowerPoint formats. The instructor’s manual is intended to provide instructors with the materials needed to offer students an introduction to applied lighting in a face-to-face setting. Instructors using Fundamentals of Lighting in an introductory course seeking IES or related continuing education credits (e.g., IES CEUs, AIA-HSW-LUs, or USGBC CEs) for course can apply to do so by contacting education@ies.org.

In 2023, Fundamentals of Lighting went through a major revision. If you would like more information about how 2023 varies from the 2015 version, email education@ies.org. The summary of these changes is also within the instructor materials.
